How to Set Up Business Email on iPhone (iOS)

Setting Up Business Email on iPhone

Step 1 — Open Mail Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account
  2. Select Other (not Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook)
  3. Tap Add Mail Account

Step 2 — Enter Account Information

  • Name: Your name (shown to email recipients)
  • Email: your full email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.co.ke)
  • Password: your email account password
  • Description: A label (e.g., "Business Email")

Tap Next.

Step 3 — Configure IMAP Settings

Select IMAP at the top.

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: mail.yourdomain.co.ke

User Name: info@yourdomain.co.ke

Password: your email password

Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: mail.yourdomain.co.ke

User Name: info@yourdomain.co.ke

Password: your email password

Tap NextSave.

Step 4 — Verify SSL Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → tap your new account
  2. Tap Account → Advanced
  3. Ensure:
- Use SSL: On (Incoming)

- Server Port: 993 (Incoming)

- Use SSL: On (Outgoing)

- Server Port: 587 (Outgoing)

Troubleshooting

"Cannot connect to server" error:
  • Double-check the server name (no typos)
  • Ensure your email password is correct (test in webmail first)
  • Try port 465 with SSL for outgoing if 587 fails

Emails not syncing:
  • Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Fetch New Data
  • Set to Push or Every 15 Minutes
