How to Set Up Your Business Email in Microsoft Outlook

Setting Up Business Email in Microsoft Outlook
Your Email Settings
Before starting, note these settings from your Braysons Host welcome email:
Incoming Mail (IMAP):
Server: mail.yourdomain.co.ke
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL/TLS
Outgoing Mail (SMTP):
Server: mail.yourdomain.co.ke
Port: 587
Encryption: STARTTLS
Authentication: Required
Username: your full email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.co.ke)
Password: your email account password
Steps for Outlook on Windows
- Open Outlook → File → Add Account
- Enter your email address → click Advanced options → check Let me set up my account manually → Connect
- Select IMAP
- Enter the Incoming settings above → Next
- Enter your password → Connect
- Enter the Outgoing settings → Next
- Click Done
Steps for Outlook on Mac
- Open Outlook → Tools → Accounts → Add Email Account
- Enter your email and password → Add Account
- If auto-setup fails, click Configure Manually
- Enter IMAP and SMTP settings as above
Steps for Outlook Mobile (iOS/Android)
- Open Outlook app → tap your profile icon → Add Account
- Enter your email → Continue
- If prompted, select IMAP
- Enter server settings manually
Testing Your Setup
Send a test email to yourself. If it arrives in your inbox, setup is complete. If not, double-check:
- Port numbers (993 for IMAP, 587 for SMTP)
- SSL/TLS is enabled for incoming, STARTTLS for outgoing
- Username is your full email address, not just the part before @
