Setting Up Business Email in Microsoft Outlook

Your Email Settings

Before starting, note these settings from your Braysons Host welcome email:

Incoming Mail (IMAP):
  Server: mail.yourdomain.co.ke
  Port: 993
  Encryption: SSL/TLS

Outgoing Mail (SMTP):
  Server: mail.yourdomain.co.ke
  Port: 587
  Encryption: STARTTLS
  Authentication: Required

Username: your full email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.co.ke)
Password: your email account password

Steps for Outlook on Windows

1. Open Outlook → File → Add Account
2. Enter your email address → click Advanced options → check Let me set up my account manually → Connect
3. Select IMAP
4. Enter the Incoming settings above → Next
5. Enter your password → Connect
6. Enter the Outgoing settings → Next
7. Click Done

Steps for Outlook on Mac

1. Open Outlook → Tools → Accounts → Add Email Account
2. Enter your email and password → Add Account
3. If auto-setup fails, click Configure Manually
4. Enter IMAP and SMTP settings as above

Steps for Outlook Mobile (iOS/Android)

1. Open Outlook app → tap your profile icon → Add Account
2. Enter your email → Continue
3. If prompted, select IMAP
4. Enter server settings manually

Testing Your Setup

Send a test email to yourself. If it arrives in your inbox, setup is complete. If not, double-check:

• Port numbers (993 for IMAP, 587 for SMTP)
• SSL/TLS is enabled for incoming, STARTTLS for outgoing
• Username is your full email address, not just the part before @
