Upgrading or Downgrading Your Hosting Plan

When to Upgrade

Consider upgrading when you experience:

• Slow website loading (resource limits reached)
• "Resource limit reached" error messages
• More than 10,000 monthly visitors
• Need for more email accounts or databases
• Requirement for addon domains

How to Upgrade

1. Log into client.braysons.co.ke
2. Go to Services → My Services
3. Click on your current hosting plan
4. Click Upgrade/Downgrade
5. Select the new plan
6. Review the pro-rata price difference
7. Complete payment

Your upgrade is instant — no downtime, no file migration required.

Pro-Rata Billing Explained

When you upgrade mid-cycle, you only pay the difference:

Example:

• Current plan: Starter at KSh 500/month, 15 days remaining
• New plan: Business at KSh 1,000/month
• Pro-rata charge: KSh 250 (half month difference)
• Next renewal: Full Business plan price

How to Downgrade

1. Same process as upgrading — select a lower plan
2. Downgrade takes effect at the next renewal date (not immediately)
3. You continue using your current plan until renewal

Note: Downgrading may require you to reduce resource usage (email accounts, databases, disk space) to fit within the new plan's limits.
