How to Renew Your Domain Before It Expires

Domain expiry is one of the most common reasons websites go offline. Here is how to renew your domain and avoid disruption.

When Does My Domain Expire?

  1. Log into client.braysons.co.ke
  2. Go to Domains → My Domains
  3. The Expiry Date column shows when each domain expires

You will also receive automated reminder emails at 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before expiry.

Step 1 — Renew via Client Portal

  1. Log into client.braysons.co.ke
  2. Go to Domains → My Domains
  3. Click Renew next to the domain you want to renew
  4. Select the renewal period (1 year, 2 years, etc.)
  5. Proceed to checkout and pay via M-Pesa or card

Step 2 — Confirm Renewal

After payment, your domain expiry date will be extended immediately. You will receive a confirmation email.

What Happens if My Domain Expires?

Days 31–60Redemption period — higher redemption fee applies
Day 60+Domain released to public — anyone can register it

Enable Auto-Renewal

Avoid expiry by enabling auto-renewal:

  1. Go to Domains → My Domains
  2. Click Manage next to your domain
  3. Toggle Auto Renew to On
  4. Ensure your payment method is up to date
