Transferring Your Domain to Braysons Host

Consolidating your domain and hosting with one provider simplifies billing and support.

Before You Start

• Your domain must be older than 60 days (KeNIC requirement for .co.ke)
• The domain must not be locked at your current registrar
• You need the EPP/Auth code (also called transfer key) from your current registrar

Step 1 — Unlock Your Domain

Log into your current registrar and:

1. Find the domain's settings
2. Disable Domain Lock (sometimes called "Registrar Lock")
3. Request the EPP/Auth code — it will be emailed to the domain's registrant email

Step 2 — Initiate Transfer at Braysons Host

1. Go to our Register Domain page
2. Click Transfer Domain
3. Enter your domain name and click Check Transfer
4. Enter your EPP/Auth code
5. Complete payment (transfer fee applies — check our Domain Pricing page)

Step 3 — Approve the Transfer

You will receive an email at your registrant address asking you to approve the transfer. Click the approval link within 5 days.

Will My Website Stay Up?

Yes. Your DNS settings are preserved during the transfer. Your website and email will continue working without interruption.
